Member Spotlight: Wendy Millet


New Pleiades sister Wendy Millet combines a passion for the outdoors, 20+ years in conservation, and insight from a lifetime working with horses, to her work as Director of TomKat Ranch.  TomKat Ranch is an educational ranch, an hour south of San Francisco, with a mission to raise healthy food in a way that regenerates the planet and inspires others to action. 

Wendy has worked on ranches in Wyoming and Montana, at a policy think tank in Washington DC, and at a number of conservation organizations focused on economic solutions to working lands including The Nature Conservancy, The Conservation Fund, and Stanford's Woods Institute for the Environment. Today, she serves on the boards of the Western Landowners Alliance, the California Council of Land Trusts and as a Councillor for Save the Redwoods League. 

Wendy is co-founder of Women in Ranching, a program to support women's voices in ranching.  She is also co-founder of Gallop Ventures LLC, helping organizations and individuals gain insight and create connections with both themselves and the natural world.
