Member Spotlight: Erica Helms
In July 2019, Erica will begin a new role as Chief Advancement Officer at New York Restoration Project, an organization that builds and supports open space and community gardens across the city. As a native New Yorker, she believes that thriving green spaces where people can garden, play, and learn are essential to making the city livable and sustainable.
Prior to NYRP, Erica was Director of Strategy at Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture, whose mission is to change the way America eats and farms, from the ground up. From 2005 to 2019, she helped lead the organization’s evolution from local, place-based educational farm to recognized voice in the national conversation around food and agriculture. And, she was fortunate to enjoy many good meals along the way.
